my chunky monkey!

So my little cutie pie here has been camwhoring! lol.... Here are some of the latest pics of how big he is getting! Currently at 8 weeks old now...and getting even more naughty! But he can be such a sweetheart. He is potty trained now! thank goodness.. I was def. gettn tired of him peeing and pooping every where. And now he does his thing on his pad now! Yaaay! OooO, he knows to sit when you say sit, and stop when you say no...Usually he runs away and sits in a corner by himself when we yell at him when he is bad...and gives us his puppy eyes...

Here, he ran and sat away from me cus I yelled at him..hehe just makes my heart melt...He always tilts his head too...lol

Doing what he does best!! Biting every damn thing he can find.

After a good meal...my chunky monkey it is...

Before going to work, he was trying to climb all over me.

I sat him on the sofa with me cus he was being bad, trying to jump up onto the sofa but he's still too short so I got tired of listening to him bark so there he is...
See, he always tilts his head! Melts my heart again, This boy is gonna be the death of me! hehe

Don't yall just love an animal companion? I really hated, I mean seriously hated dogs...or even any kind of pet..I guess I never gave them the chance...and now I love doggies!!

My Works...

I enjoy doing Makeup and Hair. It's what I do for a career and as a hobby on the side also. These are just some of the pictures of people that I've worked with.

This was my roommate, She has the perfect facial structure and she is soo gorgeous! I always used her for my guinea pig :p

This was a classmate of mine during hair school. I only did her eye makeup though.

Practicing with my updos on my manikin during school. Her name was Ms. Jaslene

This was a good friend of mine's wedding. I did their makeup and hair. Whew was it stressful or what! But overall I had a fantabulous time.
This is the Bride, and I didn't get to capture her makeup but this was the hair. She was such a stunning bride! love her

This was her sister in law's hair after I finished. I didn't do her makeup since she already did hers

Old photoshoots

So last year, my good friend and I decided to collaborate together for a project. She is an aspiring photographer and I was an aspiring MUA and hair stylist. We both wanted to start a portfolio and just get the experience so we posted a blog on myspace for some guy and girl models. We came up with 3 themes which were: Fashion Fever, We are Hmong, and Senior Prom. We needed 3 girls and 3 guys for the parts so we jumped in on that. We didn't charge for anything, and everybody loves anything FREE!
Starting off with our Senior Prom project

A Tropical Summer Sunset

I was pretty bored today so I decided to try out a scenic nail art. As the title says it, it will be of a tropical summer sunset. This reminded of Hawaii or even the Bahamas...I really wish I could go on a cruise!!!!!!

Back on track, I did a step by step tut on this and it's soo easy to do!!!

Apply a blue laquer about halfway
Apply an orange laquer at the top of where the blue is towards the right making sure that it is both still wet.
Apply a yellow laquer right next to the orange on the left side
Blend it the yellow and orange with a very sheer orange laquer to the top half and just a tiny bit on the blue to create a sunset shadow. Create purple lines where the blue is to create some waves.
Apply some white lines above and below the purple lines.

Create a long half circle on the right and fill in with black, do the same on the left upper side but a bit smaller and fill it in also.

Create purple clouds randomly in the sky.

Create two opposite lines on the right side and on the top left make it going towards the right.

Flicker out some lines for the base of the palm leaves.

Now flick out some lines to create the leaves.

Make long W's for the birds and upside down V's for the birds feet.

I just brushed on some purple and pink laquer on the rest of my nails, nothing too extravagant since I want to soley focus on the middle nail art.

There you have it, a Tropical Summer Sunset in Hawaii!

A day at work with Yolanda

So I decided to show you ladies what a day at my workplace was like. A brief summary, I am a cosmetologist; i do all hair services and mani and pedis also. I've only been there for 8 months and I am still building my clientele up. There is currently 2 of us in the nail/hair department since 4 other technician have left of last year. It is a higher end salon and we get mostly the older folks even though its a college town.
Believe it or not but Kelly Ripa and her sister-in-laws have been into our spa 2 years ago to receive Pedis. I wasn't here unfortunately but my coworker was here and she actually did one of the sister-in-laws. How cool was that? Her husband is from Kinston I think, but his sister lives in greenville where I live! Man it can be a small world huh?
We sell Vera Bradley bags in the retail area.
This is where we do our Manis and Pedis
This is the Atrium where we keep our clients either to lounge around or if they are waiting for a technician to get them, the lights here are usually really dim for them to be able to sleep. There is also some refreshments there for them. The two doors in the back is reserved for private parties to be held in bridal, princess, business etc...
The front of our building

This is my station! yea its pretty plain but we actually going to expand the hair department into a bigger one soon!!

My back bar products that I use for my clients.

Our retail hair products, We carry: Matrix, Loreal Professional, Biolage, and some Bedhead.

Our Hair Department..Pretty sad actually. One hair dryer, 3 stations with 3 shampoo bowls attached...yeap..It's not as focused on because our GM isn't a hair dresser so she doesn't know much and since it's a spa, people come for relaxtion such as massages and manis and pedis. But as said it's gonna be bigger hopefully in the next couple of months!

Inside our nail dispensary. This is our computer for keeping track of our appointments. The top purse is my coworkers, isn;t it cute? And my bag is on the bottom, New York Co. :)

Our Matrix color line, we carry permanent and demi colors, this is actually kept in the nail dispensary.

And here we are, the Nail Dispensary I would actually say this is my crib when I have nothing else to do. It's very tiny, can you imagine how tight it was when there was still 6 of us in here? There is actually only 3 stools :( (cheap ass!)

Well that basically sums it up! I'm actually off today but tomorrow's gonna be another day....

Greetings

Hey everyone,

Thus you've entered into my world!
